Worst-case scenario

The worst-case scenario for the Giants is that they miss the playoffs again. This is rather unlikely, but if the Giants suffer injuries to key players or their starting pitchers aren’t consistently effective, it’s possible they could not win the NL West and not snag a wild card spot.

The Giants will have to look out for the Arizona Diamondbacks as well, because they’ve improved their roster this offseason with the addition of Mark Trumbo.
