17.9 percent of the NBA’s general managers believe the Golden State Warriors will win the NBA title this season. NBA.com’s annual general managers’ survey has been around for 13 years now, and 17.9 percent is the lowest percentage a defending champion has received since the creation of this survey.

The term “lucky” has been thrown around a lot when discussing the Warriors’ magical run last season to their first title since 1975. Some fans and writers believe that the Warriors only won the title last season, because they were lucky enough to stay healthy and they were lucky enough to not face the San Antonio Spurs or, as suggested by Doc Rivers, the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs. Nice try, Doc.

Over the past few seasons, the San Francisco 49ers have developed a passionate, fiery rivalry with the Seattle Seahawks. This rivalry formed because of some outspoken players, both teams’ physical playing styles, and both teams’ recent success. Over the past few seasons, these two teams were often the top teams in the NFC West, the NFC, and some might have considered them the two best teams in the NFL at one point.

Fast forward to the 2015 NFL season, and the 49ers and Seahawks currently have the same record heading into their Week Seven matchup. Instead of holding the top two spots in the division though, the 49ers and Seahawks are currently tied for the worst record in the NFC West with 2-4 records. The Arizona Cardinals currently lead the division with a 4-2 record, and the St. Louis Rams reside in the second spot with a 2-3 record.

The Golden State Warriors enter the 2015-16 season as NBA champions, and with the beginning of the 2015-16 season right around the corner, they are about to begin their quest to defend their title.

They are still equipped with the deepest roster in the NBA. They didn’t make many dazzling changes in the offseason (they didn’t need to), and their rotation will most likely be relatively the same this upcoming season with a few minor changes.
