The San Francisco Giants have a 3-7 record, which is currently last in the National League West. The Giants’ 2015 season has certainly gotten off to a rocky start, as they’ve had to deal with several injuries to key players. The Giants have to find a way to overcome adversity. Good news for the Giants though is that they have plenty of time to recover.

Madison Bumgarner is a man of few words and many accomplishments.

He’s calm, collected, and determined on and off the field. At just 25 years old, the ace of the San Francisco Giants’ pitching staff has one of the most impressive résumés in baseball.

Madison Bumgarner can add yet another award to his résumé. After recently being named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year, Bumgarner was just named the 2014 Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year.

Madison Bumgarner gets to add another award to his already impressive list of accomplishments in his MLB career.

Bumgarner was named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year for 2014. This is the first time the 25 year-old left-handed pitcher has won the award.

Madison Bumgarner is not just the ace of the San Francisco Giants’ starting pitching staff. He’s become one of the best postseason pitchers in MLB history.

The Giants’ ace is no longer Tim Lincecum or Matt Cain. Both of these pitchers have been the faces of the franchise in the past, but this is now Bumgarner’s team. He is the postseason master and the Giants’ Mr. October.

SFG: Madison Bumgarner Named NL Pitcher of the Month

For the second time this season, Madison Bumgarner has been named the National League’s Pitcher of the Month for the month of August.

In August, Bumgarner posted a league-best 1.57 ERA, and he finished with a 4-1 record. In six starts and 46 innings in August, Bumgarner struck out 56, walked just three, gave up 26 hits, and allowed opponents to hit just .164 against him. He also tossed three complete games.
