In the Golden State Warriors’ recent turnaround from one of the worst teams in the NBA to one of the best teams in the NBA, there were several key moments. One of the Golden State Warriors’ greatest assets this season has been their depth. The talent up and down the Warriors’ roster has given them a significant advantage over many teams, and it also allows Steve Kerr to give his starters more rest.

Marreese Speights is having a resurgent season, David Lee’s skill set and ability to score works perfectly off the bench, Andre Iguodala provides the bench with elite perimeter defense and ball distribution, Shaun Livingston is an ideal backup for Stephen Curry, and Justin Holiday has been having a breakout season.

One of the most underrated signings this past offseason for the Warriors though was bringing in veteran guard Leandro Barbosa.

The Golden State Warriors were seeking a spark. They had lost two games in a row and were lacking their usual energy in both losses.

As the Warriors hoped to end their pseudo-slump with a win against the Phoenix Suns last night, the Warriors got some much-needed energy from a Bay Area sports hero who knows a little something about winning championships.

Hunter Pence.

The Golden State Warriors entered last night’s matchup against the Utah Jazz as the clear favorites to win given their superior record, their experience, and the higher amount of talent up and down their roster.

However, the Jazz made the Warriors look like the underdogs last night, as the Jazz led the Warriors for the entire game (which was the first time this season that the Warriors never led in a game), and they ultimately beat the Warriors 110-100.
