Other areas that need to be addressed

The 49ers have several key free agents, some mentioned earlier, and they need to decide which ones they want to bring back and which ones they’re fine letting go. For example, they will have to decide if they are able to bring back Jonathan Goodwin, Phil Dawson, Anthony Dixon, etc.

They also have several players that will be looking for contract extensions. Therefore, the 49ers will have to figure out which players to release and which contracts they can re-structure in order to address all these areas.

Lastly, the 49ers might want to find a new offensive coordinator. When Jim Harbaugh was hired by the 49ers, he brought Greg Roman with him from Stanford to be his offensive coordinator. Although Roman brings some creativity to the offense, he’s often criticized for his play-calling, especially at crucial moments in a game. The 49ers might want to make a change there too.
