The NBA Finals start today, and the Golden State Warriors are making their first Finals appearance in 40 years. The Warriors will represent the Western Conference in this year’s NBA Finals, and they will face the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors will yet again have homecourt advantage in this series.

For the first time since 1976, the Golden State Warriors have advanced to the Western Conference Finals. The 2015 Western Conference Finals will feature the number one-seeded Warriors against the number two-seeded Houston Rockets.

For the first time this season, the Golden State Warriors are facing some serious adversity. Although they were heavily favored to win this series overall, the Warriors now find themselves behind in their Western Conference Semifinals matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies, who took the 2-1 series lead with their 99-89 win on Saturday.

The Golden State Warriors are currently tied with the Memphis Grizzlies in their Western Conference Semifinals matchup. The Warriors won Game One, but they dropped Game Two at Oracle Arena. They will now travel to Memphis for the next two games in the series.

The NBA Playoffs are finally here! The first round matchup of the number one and number eight seeds in the Western Conference will feature a team that has had the best record in the NBA for most of the season, the Golden State Warriors, going up against a team that earned their spot in the playoffs on the final day of the regular season, the New Orleans Pelicans.
